After seeing the orange rezoning signs posted on The Steinemann Groups property at 13901 Sutton Park Dr. S., the WP POA board simultaneously scheduled the informational meeting held on May 17th, and sent notice to The Steinemann Group to arrange a meeting with the Board regarding their plans with the property and reminded them of the Non-Residential Design Guidelines. After receiving the letter, Mr. Steinemann contacted the Boards President and attended the meeting with the key personnel involved in the rezoning.

Mr. Steinemann provided his commitment to this community and confirmed that they did not communicate their intentions in advance but it was not intentional. The proposal was in the infancy stages. They do want the POA’s and community’s support in the rezoning. The intent is to make high quality apartments that are complementary to the existing building.

Attorney Diebenow provided the proposed was in the earliest stages and that the signage was placed early to provide maximum notification and there were no meetings scheduled at this time. One question from the community inquired of the meeting scheduled June 2 as confirmed by CM Bowmans’s office. The Attorney stated he would be aware of a meeting if there was one and would make us aware of such meeting once they were scheduled. The board was provided a copy of the notification mailed to one resident of the meeting scheduled and inquired with Council Member Aaron Bowmans office as to why we were not notified of any meeting scheduled.  They have confirmed there was a meeting scheduled however that meeting had now been postponed and will be rescheduled.

Diebenow also provided that the community could reach out to various committee members and council members to voice their opinion on the issues and he would provide the contacts.

Attend June 7 Meeting: Please plan to attend to voice your opinion, and make your neighbors aware of, the Community Meeting with Councilman Bowman that has been rescheduled for 5:30 pm Monday, June 7th at Chet’s Creek Church.
