260 Apartments coming to Windsor Parke unless YOU take action!!

On June 22 Windsor Parke POA held an open board meeting. In addition to the board and representatives of Steinemann Group and Bainbridge there were approximately 12 members of our community in attendance. Only 12 members of the Windsor Parke Community were in attendance!!

The board is in opposition to the rezoning. The board agreed to allocate funds to the opposition, bring awareness and rally the community including legal representation.

The actions the board is taking will not work without a show of unity from our community. You need to be involved and take action!!

What do you need to do?

  1. Voice your opinion: We have provided a list of “Must Email People” here. The community is encouraged to utilize the contacts list to voice their opinions. And please copy the board at windsorparkepoa@gmail.com.
  2. Attend upcoming meetings to voice your opinion. Below are key dates specific to ORD 2021-0273 (Sutton Park/Windsor Rezoning)
  3. Subscribe: Encourage all within WP including all sub associations to Subscribe to Updates here. This will keep you informed of upcoming meetings and how you can get involved.

Reasons to oppose the rezoning:

  • The Southeast CPAC supports denying the variance. (Letter dated June 10. 2021)
  • Original Deed to the property restricts property to a 50-foot setback on the parcel that cannot be ignored by the governing bodies.
  • Development within Windsor Parke is bound by the declarations and ARC guidelines which provide Windsor Parke POA authority to govern. The well thought out design states designed with “Residential properties in the northern part of the community and campus like business park in the south.”
  • Bainbridge described the proposed as “West Indies Design with nothing else like it anywhere around.” The WP ARC guidelines mandates “adherence to high aesthetic standards… and compatibility of adjacent parcels.”
  • Traffic issues in the area that is already congested and overdeveloped. The developers have not proposed any corrective accommodation with the development.

Please join us in taking action against this rezoning – we can’t do it without your support!
